So you know I am beyond fighting the bulge, that ship sailed almost thirty (30) years ago. In 1986 my late husband asked me to get up on the feed wagon at the farm we worked at and see if the auger was stuck. I didn't know he had already checked the weight of the feed. So he did a little math and found out I weighed 235lb. I worked hard every day. I milked around two hundred head a day, cleaned the parlor twice, helped feed, hauled stuff you would not believe and had no problem sitting down in a restaurant with cow manure on my clothes. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I really think my main problem in my life (besides the caboose) is I have moved from a tropical climate to a cold one, changed lifestyles drastically, several times over my life. I have eight children and have had four partners. But I have worked, dammit it, a lot.
The last time I was comfortable in my weight was somewhere around 1973. I probably weighed in at 110 soaking wet and walked everywhere. I didn't own a car and didn't have a license. I bought men's 30" waist pants and had to take them in a good inch and a half on each side. I wish I had pictures of me then, but I don't think any exist.
Today I did not, no way, no how want to get on that bike. I did our shopping this morning and hurt from head to toe. I did though and did 2 miles at 17mph. Now I really hurt. My calories have stayed pretty good today and I think I am pretty much on schedule. I usually weigh myself in the evening , but weighed myself a little earlier
Whoot, whoot....I lost 2lbs this week. If I can get my ass on the bike every day, I should meet my goal of <240 by July 1st. I also did a bit of experimenting with my salads. I don't usually measure my dressings, but today I did
This is a tuna salad and what 4 tbs of dressing looks like. I don't normally put anywhere near this amount on my food. Now I know. This meal was 325 cals and kept me good all day. At dinner I fixed Him and I grilled chicken breasts, white rice, salad and mixed corn and peas. I added that up and it comes to <600...which puts my daily total at 1225. I have drank 8 16oz bottles of water so I think I am doing ok.
Another thing I am going to do is clip my pedometer on my pants every morning and see how far I walk in a day. I used to do about 6-10 miles when I worked but that was hoofing back and forth from end to end in a manufacturing plant many times a day.
Thanks for stopping by, have a good one.
