Is a worthy question...yes? Who really in this day and age gives a shit? I did not get on the bike this am and now am going to do this evening. Went for a ride down through Hill City with my HIM. Here I can rant as he sits across the table from me eating friggin grapes...shhhh, I ate my half earlier. It was a nice day, I have pretty much kept to my schedule, got out, ate about 1000 calories, dinner is next and 4-16 oz bottles of water. So I have drank about 1/2 my water and have about 500 calories left for they day. It's Saturday dammit. I am craving pizza.
What I will have is a large salad with mango dressing, 1 hot dog no bread with bbq sauce (lower in cals than mustard or ketchup) and a very small amount of french fries, baked. This is dinner, add a very large salad and ditch the bread.....oh YUMMMM
Now I will get into a rant I have been sorely wanting to do...Hey McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco John, Taco Bell and KFC....please tell me why I can't get anything in a size I need. People really look at me funny when I ask for a kids meal. I asked for a small fry the other day and they said...sorry you can't get that in any EVM...thats "Extra Value Meal" folks. They come in medium, large and omfg huge.
Ok so scratch the eat outs. I just buy stuff for home, because anything I eat in any of these places is gonna keep me fat for the rest of my life. Burger King has been my best bet so far. I can order a Whopper, no cheese, no mayo..small fry, small drink...is still about 1040 cals...almost my daily allowance...even a whopper jr. is 790....least they give me for the whole damn meal and don't make me add it up. Taco John or Taco Bell...taco salad...no dressing, beef..Taco Bell...770...Taco John...540...and they are pretty damn close on taste....since I started being so damn picky on my caloric intake....Taco John has my vote and BK when I need a burger. If I really want those potatoes Taco John has I get a "small" super potatoes ole...even that is 650.
Size portions these days just give me a headache as well as a big ass. I take twice as long to order something, not only does it have to be good, but good for me too. This is why America is so damn fat. Order a supersize, cause you know you need 32 ozs of sugar and 1000 mgs of SALT, and way the fuck too much damn FAT. I wonder sometimes if people even look, cause they sell so damn much of it.
So HIM and I had lunch out today. Chicken salad sandwiches with lettuce and tomato and grapes for snack. I drank water, HIM drank sweet tea. We were out in the sun near the Michelson trail watching people go by. There were six vehicle there with bike racks on them, (no I did not count ours). That was just at the one trail head. Is where I want to ride at least for a year or so. The trail itself is 109 miles. We will see. I suspect this year will be mostly stationary for me and maybe around the local lake parks for the two of us. Next year I am planning some longer rides though.
This is where we had lunch, about 30 miles from where we live. We sat at the table and talked and dug out the maps for the area. Him has drawn up six trips for the next couple of weeks. All of them hit fishing spots and are good photo shoots for me.
I usually shoot through car windows somewhere between 40 and 70 mph. Sometimes they come out like this
But come on.....55 mph, dirty windshield facing the damn sun....I do a lot of editing after a road trip...sometimes I get really lucky and they look like this
This is out a side window on the 1880 Wine Train. Sometimes it just all comes together. These are mostly with a point and shoot Nikon and my Kodak z981.
So that's my rant for today. Tomorrow is weigh-in. I have use of a digital scale and I use it on Sunday evenings. I weighed 248.2 last Sunday. Lets see how tomorrow goes. Thanks for reading. Chew me a new one if you like, I got a delete button, no worries.
Evening update, had two dogs instead of one. Made my dinner about 600 calories...which put me at about 1900 for the day, a little more than usual, was that damn second dog at 200 cals....but omg it was yummmmm.
